Ephesians 2:10 reveals the promise of a truly delightful life: a life divinely designed for each of us.
For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
But let's be real, some days living a delightful life isn't easy. We all face disagreements, disappointments, health problems, and even loss. Then there are places hit by floods, fires, hurricanes, volcanoes, and other disasters. Plus, we're constantly hearing about corrupt politicians, assassinations, wars, trafficking, and other terrible things. Even if these don't directly affect me, as a Christian and someone who prays for others, I feel for those who are going through it.
And then there are the questions that bombard my mind when I hear of those things. Am I doing enough to help those affected? Am I praying enough? Am I giving enough? Should I have done more? Our enemy throws guilt and condemnation at us almost faster than our shield can quench those fiery darts.
In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration, but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] John 16:33 AMPC
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the troubles around us. In these moments, remind yourself that God has a delightful life planned specifically for you. Stay focused on His path for you, resist distractions, and trust His design. This allows you to live joyfully, fully embracing each moment with purpose.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
To help you remember God’s call for your life, here are some encouraging phrases for living a delightful life. These phrases reinforce how to remain centered on the life He intends for you.

You are living where God has placed you.
Believe it or not, I was destined to be living in a small town in America right now! I was never meant to be born Chinese, Middle Eastern, or even in a different era. But here's the truth: that's exactly how it should be, and His plans are flawlessly perfect. This is when and where my delightful life is planned.
The same is true for you. Embrace who you are and shine wherever you are!
Stay in your own lane.
As compassionate individuals, we are driven to help those who are hurting. We could easily dedicate all our time to praying for everyone. We aspire to contribute to every worthy cause and invest our efforts in improving their situations. While these intentions are noble, it's important to recognize that God has a plan for every situation, and it requires each of us to focus on our own assignments. Only God is capable of doing it all. Identify and fulfill your assignment, and trust that God will handle the rest.

Cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
Embrace your joy without guilt or condemnation. It's perfectly fine to feel thankful for what you have, even when others are facing hardships.
I'm grateful I live in America. I'm thankful our garden hasn't been washed away by the rain. I'm blessed my children are doing well.
Guard your heart.
A delightful life demands a clean heart. Ensure that the undelightful aspects of life do not take root and fester. Let the Holy Spirit assist you in keeping it clear.
"Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:31-32
You can't pour from an empty cup.
Get ready to supercharge your day by spending uplifting moments with the Lord! Dedicate a part of your morning to worshiping Him, and you'll stay centered on His incredible plans. Feel empowered and revitalized, ready to tackle your tasks with unstoppable energy!

Until further notice, celebrate everything.
Embrace the everyday moments in your life with joy! Celebrate the wonderful things that come your way. And when challenges arise, seek out what the Lord is doing in each situation and rejoice in His work. He didn't cause it, but He will definitely use it to His advantage!
If you can't find anything else to celebrate, remember Ps 118:24. "This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!"
